Cube Design uses laminate on all storage. Laminate is preferred for projects with requirements for hard surfaces. Laminate is a robust and durable material and at the same time easy to clean and maintain. Cube Design's storage with laminate cabinet is always made with 2 mm impact-resistant ABS edges - the same material as used for bumpers.
Here you can find color codes on all cabinet laminates. If there is no specific color code, we do not have it. We are happy to send a color sample, which you can take to a painter to find the right color.
Cube Design uses two types of veneer: quarter-cut and flat-cut. We use quarter-cut veneer on our storage. The quarter-cut veneer is cut perpendicular to the vein structure, so the veins will be uniform and
appear in linear lines. With quarter-cut veneer, we can ensure more uniform cabinets - even when we use natural wood.
The veneer we use on table tops is flat-cut. Flat-cut veneer is cut parallel to the cross-section of the tree trunk, so the veins become clearer and conical, where the structure can vary greatly up through the
veneer. The veneer we use is always 1st class quality from a flawless sorting of European wood.
All Nordic Nature colors are in high pressure laminate (HPL). HPL is a high quality laminate. It consists of a melamine-treated paper layer and several core layers impregnated with phenolic resin, which are compressed under high pressure. This makes the material very durable, impact-resistant, temperature-resistant and easy to clean. Therefore, HPL is ideal for areas where there are high demands on load, durability and hygiene, as these go hand in hand.
We have ABS edges and lacquer for beveled edges in all Nordic Nature colors. You are free to choose any color edge you want on your table tops.

We have three different soft laminates: XP matte laminate, XM laminate and Fenix laminate. Common to them all is that they have a super soft surface.
XP matte laminate is a matte high-pressure laminate with a soft surface that is nano- and chemical-free (acc. to REACH). The surface is electronically reinforced (ESH) and has anti-fingerprint properties.
XM laminate is our oak high-pressure laminate with a soft surface.
Fenix laminate is a silky soft surface, a durable material and a sleek design. The surface is matte and it gives a low degree of reflection. This means that it is almost impossible to see greasy fingerprints on the laminate. Should a fingerprint be added anyway, the innovative nanolaminate ensures that bacteria do not penetrate into the surface. The Fenix laminate is resistant to micro-scratches. If the laminate is scratched anyway, a melamine sponge or a hot iron can erase the scratches again. Goodbye to greasy fingerprints, micro-scratches, glare from the surface. And hello to a material that speaks to both the company and the architect.
We have ABS edges and lacquer for beveled edges that fit all soft touch laminates.
You can get linoleum on fronts and table tops.
Linoleum is a practical and elastic material that is nice, soft to the touch, easy to clean and incredibly durable. Linoleum consists of linseed oil, resin, limestone flour, wood flour and environmentally friendly color pigments as the primary ingredients. Out of this, as much as 72% is quickly renewable. In other words, it is a 100% natural product, which at the same time is less susceptible to fingerprints and has a matte surface that is antistatic and resistant to dust and dirt. The matt expression gives a low degree of reflection, which comes from the surface treatment the material receives with a cross-bottomed, matt PU acrylic lacquer.
Surfaces with linoleum provide better acoustics in the room, as linoleum helps to absorb the sound. Linoleum is a CO2-neutral product, as the natural raw materials absorb large amounts of CO2 - and at the same time CO2 emissions from production are low. The material is biodegradable and does not harm the environment when later disposed of.
Cube Design uses high pressure laminate (HPL) on all table tops. We use HPL because it is a stronger material, which is robust and durable with a long life, as well as easy to clean and maintain.
Below you can find color codes on all standard laminates. If there is no specific color code, it is not available. We are happy to send a color sample, which you can take to a painter to find the right color.
The frame type depends on the product. We have frames in powder-coated steel, polished chrome, polished stainless steel, polished aluminum and in solid wood.
Frame with powder coating has a uniform and impact-resistant surface, which is extra resistant to scratches.
A powder coating is a dry matter treatment - free of volatile additives. The varnishing takes place by cleaning and pre-treating the metal. Next, the powder is electrostatically charged so that the metal attracts the powder. The powder coating is applied via a coating system, so that the metal is finally covered with the right amount of powder.
A large part of the powder that does not hit the metal can be recycled.
The metal is then heat-treated so that the powder flows together and forms a uniform surface. Immediately after it is out of the oven, the powder sticks as a robust, strong and completely cured varnish.
If the frame on your table, chair or similar does not have a powder coating, then you can see our options here.
